Diver Dan Returns To The Sea

Well, it’s time to learn something new, time to stretch the old brain cells. It’s feeling a little dusty upstairs. So what’s it going to be?

  • Piano lessons? (Nah! I’ll get all hung up in how bad I am at first.)
  • Take up the accordion? (That can wait until I’m older. No rush.)
  • Sing in a professional choir or barbershop quartet? (Nah, I’m still bummed that I’m no longer a tenor. Sorry Teri!)
  • Learn some new programming language? (Nah! I’m craving something physical.)
  • Fencing? (Nope! Too many rules!)
  • Ah! How ’bout ballroom dancing! (Nuts!) Read the rest of this entry »

Money In The Fridge

Hows this for gratitude?

The strange happenings continue at our house. I opened the refrigerator to check the beer supply after our last open house only to find it fairly decimated and much to my surprise, a defaced ten dollar bill. Grateful guest? Mischievous elemental? Lord knows around here. Stuff has been disappearing and reappearing quite a bit lately. Read the rest of this entry »

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

I knew I was overdue for a vacation, especially with the extreme chaos of the past 12 months at work. And yet, it really didn’t sink in how out of shape my body/spirit/mind alignment was until I got in the saddle and took off on an 8-day motorcycle tour of Glacier National Park in Montana and the Canadian Rockies. I’m An Earthling

I’ve been thinking about what benefit I gain from interacting with Elementals. As an adult, if this interaction doesn’t result in some sort of transformation, then it’s nothing more than just a creative exercise for my imagination and intuition. That certainly is beneficial for me but that Virgo sun sign of mine demands that I learn, explore and build holistic systems that yield sustainable, transformative outcomes. As the Summer Solstice came, I wondered what significance it really holds for us and then it hit me — who really cares about the solstice unless their worldview is expansive enough to include it? Dental Floss

“True reality is more complex than our eyes lead us to believe.” I recently ran across that line in a book I was reading and my astral adventures of the past couple of years have certainly proven this statement to me. Many of you have read of my work to guide lost souls, or ghosts, to the Light and I willingly share such healing events. What I am now about to share with you, I do so more reluctantly. These are accounts of my recent close encounters with the “Little People”, or Elementals. Read the rest of this entry »

September 11, 2001

This is going to be a rather lengthy edition of the Duncan Domain. I had other projects to report on but an event occurred on September 11, 2001 that has pushed all that aside for now. I’ll first report on the spiritual healing activities that Inga and I and others have been doing and then I’ll share my emotional and rational response to the event. Read the rest of this entry »

The Cost Of Being Muggle

Inga’s mom, Stephanie, spent the Christmas holiday with us and she brought with her a marvelous treat: the “Harry Potter” books on cassette tape. If you are unfamiliar with them, it’s the story of a boy born to a wizard and a witch. Upon their deaths from battling with a powerful, dark wizard, Harry ends up spending his childhood with his mother’s non-magical sister’s family. Non-magical people are referred to by the magical community as “muggles” which is used to label anyone who goes to great lengths to avoid the use of magic. Read the rest of this entry »

Feng Shui And Larry The Loach

Inga continues to tweak the energy of our house using Chinese Feng Shui principles. If you’ve come over to the house this past year, you’ve no doubt seen the new fountain in the rose garden. It straddles the Knowledge/Self Cultivation and Career sections of the house. If you’ve been reading our newsletters for the past 6 months you’ll agree that a lot has happened in those areas of our life! If you are not up on this ancient practice, I can provide some background. Read the rest of this entry »

The Elementals

The only problem with all this astral travel stuff I’ve been doing is that it makes me realize how totally inadequate my worldview is. At the same time and maybe for the first time in my life, I’m overcoming my Protestant upbringing and realizing that I don’t have to feel guilty about it. After all, my white, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant culture has done absolutely nothing to prepare me for the multi-dimensional existence that is unfolding inside me. Since I’m not wasting time on the guilt thing, I can get right down to the task of how to upgrade my worldview and integrate it into my daily life. Read the rest of this entry »
