The Glenlivet 12 is poured and a La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet is lit at pool side in Orlando on what passes for a Winter day in Florida. I’m sitting here in a t-shirt while the natives are running around in coats complaining about the 60 degree temps and my buddies in Seattle are gloomily facing another round of snow. It’s a delightful change of pace from brainstorming last month about how and where to smoke comfortably. Anyway, it sure makes this Halogen webinar I have for to do for work a lot more fun! Tonight I’m smoking something new — Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro Maduro. I think it was included in a Rocky Patel sampler pack but I don’t think it is made by Rocky. Nevertheless, Leafmeister Cassell has been egging me on to try it and it is a wonderful maduro stick with rich flavors — it’s smooth and sweet with just a hint of spice and loads of smoke in a box press. It’s lip smacking good!

A business trip to Orlando in March is a sweet thing. It’s a whole lot warmer and sunnier than Seattle in Winter and a welcome change of pace. It means taking a break from the Vitamin D supplements and doing it the old fashioned way with real sunshine. It means the simple joy of not having to wear a coat. It means attending consciousness expanding, fact filled seminars and talking shop with all sorts of interesting people, usually with an alcohol beverage in one’s hand after dinner.
